Rocketflip. Hi all. I just started to learn how to play the saxophone a month ago and this is my progress so far. As you can tell, I'm just a beginner so please excuse my bad performance. This is just a demo of my saxophone rather than my skills. I hope you enjoy this video and any feedback is welcomed. BTW, the saxophone is totally awesome. It's like being the lead electric guitar player just jamming to a song without any before-hand preparation or music sheet. Purely scale based improvisation. If you are a music lover/player with fast fingers, a lot of air in the lungs and don't mind your lips getting muscle pain, I recommend you get a freaking saxophone...though they are pretty darn expensive. It's such a good way to relieve stress since you are blowing out your stream. It sure beats screaming out like a madman... The only downside is that you have to find a place where you can play it without disturbing people too much. I have been stopped by police officers here in Japan; apparently someone near the park where I was practicing found it a bit too noisy for a Sunday morning. I do admit it was a bit early at 8am and very inconsiderate of me to disrupt their only day of the week where sleeping in is possible.
