All Mac Video Editors (Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Express, iMovie, etc.) should be compatible with Quicktime. Almost all Windows Editors should be compatible with Windows Media. Just a head's up, due to the file formats, in comparison, the Quicktime format seems to have slightly better quality.
